Can I unlock a Wave

Haven't been able to find any one/methad to unlock the S8500M.
 
Bell will unlock it for $75 but cancel my warranty

Hi,

There is not unlock service by cable for this model. However some parties can offer unlock codes via the operator. For Canada there is no 'general' unlock service for Samsung. If you want email to [email protected] to check if they can do it.

The email address you posted appears slightly wrong, but I think I got it. I'm not holding out much hope as none of the unlock services I've tried can do it.
 
I think my only solution is by the file method. I need to dump the root file system in the phone and search for the code in a nv file. So far I only get a partial dump using Stunes.
 
Hopefully someone here has some expertise with these samsung S8500 phones. I see there is some reflashing info here.

Although I haven't usd their service, Bongo Wireless claims they can do it on their web site for $60 but you have to go or send it in.
