Trying to unlock Samsung p207

I am trying to unlock my Samsung P207 before I sign contract with new provider.

I have search extensively online without success. I've downloaded Samsung 4.0.4 and previous versions. (application will not install on my Vista 32bit without crashing) And I've also attempted an 11 step process that I've found posted on a couple websites. Unsuccessful.

I am about to throw this phone out my car window, but the iPhone4 isn't available in Canada yet. So I must endure with this old Samsung until...

Could anyone assist me in achieving my goal? Thank you.

Hi,
You can unlock it here: Samsung Remote unlock Server >> Unlock Samsung P207
However for this model you will need a special unlock cable. Original will not work.
