Apple inc. products news / Be your own mechanic with the $11 Kobra OBD-II Wi-Fi car code reader« on: June 14, 2018, 07:43:02 PM »
Don't let your codes stay codes. This Kobra OBD-II Wi-Fi car code reader is down to $11.19 on Amazon with code PP94JP7K. It sells for $20 without the code and we haven't seen a sale on these readers in a couple months now. This version uses Wi-Fi, so it's compatible with iOS, Android, and, God forbid you're still using one, Windows phones. The problem with Wi-Fi is you can't always get it near your car. You can get this Bluetooth car code reader for $7.12 with code Z6KXA33D. That's down from a price of $13, but the Bluetooth version does not work with iOS. Skip using the phone altogether with Kobra's direct OBD-II professional diagnostic car scanner for $12.39 with code 7934LGIX. That's about $6 off what it normally goes for. You won't be able to transfer the data to your phone, but you can also scan and read the codes a lot faster and take action. The Kobra car code reader can connect to and read the code from any car made after 1996. It can then use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth (depending...

Apple inc. products news / Android Auto adds a feature to browse full contact list while on the road« on: April 26, 2018, 10:43:26 PM »
Android Auto is Google's solution for drivers to stay connected while on the road. It comes with a ton of features, like the Google Assistant, so that drivers can tell their device to call, text or email someone by using their voice. It also features everything a car needs, from Google Maps and Waze to Spotify, Whatsapp, Telegram and pretty much everything Android has to offer.A new feature was recently announced through the Android Auto User Community, offering the ability to browse your full contact list in your car, a feature that was somehow missing in previous versions of the device. In the past, users would use the Google Assistant by saying "OK Google, call Dennis" or by selecting from a list of recently placed or missed calls. Users can also just dial the full number onto the screen, if that's a thing the kids are still doing. To access the contact list, go on the phone tab, then tap the hamburger menu on the top-left of the screen and select "Contacts." Note that if your ...

Apple inc. products news / OnePlus and Disney are working together to create an Avengers themed OnePlus 6« on: April 21, 2018, 02:36:40 PM »
Just earlier this month OnePlus India accidentally posted a teaser for a collaboration with Marvel studios regarding their upcoming movie Avengers: Infinity War. OnePlus has now gone ahead and confirmed that they will indeed be working on an Avengers-themed version of the OnePlus 6 phone. This announcement for a special OnePlus 6 comes before the date of when the OnePlus 6 will be released. Based on the date Avengers is hitting theaters, April 27, we can expect a release date for the OnePlus 6 to be sometime in May.OnePlus is making this possible by working with Disney to release the device in India, which unfortunately seems like it means that they won't be sold anywhere else, although I'm sure you'll be able to find them online eventually.Late 2017, we became one with the force. And now we've decided to take our partnership with @Disney to the next level. This April, we come face to face with infinite power and the war that will decide the fate of our universe.See you in theate...

Apple inc. products news / The US Army wants to create incorruptible quantum computer using Majorana particles« on: April 19, 2018, 11:57:17 AM »
A research group funded by the United States Army has discovered compelling evidence of the Majorana particle, which was first hypothesized in 1937 — over 80 years ago. It was predicted that the particle would be used as a "building block" for future quantum computers. The research was done under Professor Kang Wang of UCLA, also collaborating with the research team were members of Stanford University, UC Irvine, and UC Davis. The US Army stated that Quantum computers would be a key component in creating an 'unhackable' machine, and pushing the large data capabilities further. Quantum computers could solve problems much more quickly and efficiently than classical computers, potentially leading to significant improvement in situational awareness with the capability to process large amount of available data, a fundamental priority research area for the U.S. Army. One of the primary reasons that this particular Majorana particle has been an interest for potential quantum co...
