Hi Folks,
I am new member of this forum, and my name is Catesby. I have a range of interests, from computers to firearms (collecting, not using I hasten to add!)
I work as a electronics/software engineer for ABB Robotics, and am very keen to get into the whole thing which is re-flashing mobiles, software upgrades etc. I have a big favour to ask of one of the members. Could you explain to me how to re-flash my Nokia 6300 with the new 6.01 firmware?:confused:
I have downloaded and installed the 6.01 exe file to my PC, but after that I am stumped as to what to do next. Do I need another program to download this software to the phone?:confused:
I will be very grateful for any help any of the more learned members could give me.

just use nokia pc suite and also good speed internet connection u need for upgrading ur firmware.............................

Hello and thanks for your reply.
I only have the normal USB lead to connect to my computer. I have no other programs installed to help me. When I try to update using the Nokia PC suite, it saya that there are no updates for my device, and that the current version, 5.50, is all that is available. Well, seeing as I have obtained version 6.01 from the generous members of this forum, that isn't true. So how can I get version 6.01 installed into my 6300? Do I need some kind of program which sends the data down to the phone? Any help is very much appreciated.

mate all you need really is a gadget!!!
cause every gadget has already it's Programs to load unto your 6300!!!
