Notifyr Lets You Receive iOS Notifications on Your Mac
« on: May 28, 2014, 07:39:58 AM »
Notifyr is an app that lets you receive iOS notifications on your Mac.  It was created by Joost van Dijk, a 17-year-old developer from The  Netherlands.

"I got my first iPhone when I was 12 years old, and  started making apps for it as soon as the SDK was released by Apple,"  says Joost. "Since I was mainly working as a freelancer, I never got  around to doing a personal project until now. I've been working on  Notifyr for over half a year, mainly studying the Bluetooth technologies  in iOS and OS X to create the perfect user experience.

Notifyr  requires and iPhone 4S or new and a compatible Mac. You can check if  your computer is compatible in the screenshot below. Once the  application is installed on both devices and paired, you won't have to  keep opening the app on your phone. When the connection is lost, Notifyr  will automatically reconnect to your phone when it becomes available  again.

Notifyr uses Bluetooth Low Energy to relay notifications to your Mac while draining little battery.

You can purchase Notifyr from the App Store for $3.99. The Mac companion app can be downloaded for free from here.
