As Google's Material design reaches 4 years old, hints emerge that the company is working on a revamp. Earlier this weekend, Chromium commits (which have now been hidden) were spotted earlier making references to updates to the Chrome browser and Material Design 2. While we don't know much about what this so-called "Material Design 2 " will involve, we do know that in the case of Chrome it'll at least bring minor changes to the colour palette. The colour changes to the existing Chrome palette would make the regular browser tabs nearly white in comparison to its current interface, while incognito mode would appear a lot darker by default. The Chromium commits also hints improved support for touchscreens. As we reported earlier, Google is working to bring Chrome OS to both tablets and detachables.
