Google's ChromeOS has now gotten better for users of hybrid devices with Chrome OS 64.The firm is adding a commonly used screenshot button combination, the power and volume down combo, to Chrome OS. This is done so users od devices like the Pixebook which are capable of being folded into tablets can easily take screenshots without needing to engage to screenshot button.Not mentioned in the changelog is the new flag that allows users to turn on split screen for apps in tablet mode. It works very much like Windows 10, in that two apps can be viewed on screen at once.We reported earlier this week that Google might be planning to make Chrome OS power detachables in addition to hybrids, and improvements like this make that more likely. Google's improvements to tablet mode may also make the OS a viable standalone tablet operating system as well.
